You may have noticed that we’ve recently switched to a new authentication system for EduBlocks. Last year, EduBlocks was acquired by our friends at Anaconda and to improve the experience as well as to bring you some exciting new features, we've switched to using their unified authentication system and some things might be a bit different to what you were expecting.
This page is here to answer the most common questions; however, our friendly user care team is on hand to help with any questions or issues you may have. You can get in contact with them here.
FAQs
Why am I being asked to verify my email?
To make EduBlocks a safer platform for everyone, we’re asking new users who sign up to verify their email addresses from here on out.
My students don’t have access to their email inboxes, how can I verify their accounts?
You have two options.
If your school filters emails by address, you can unblock [email protected] so that your students' recieve a verification email.
Otherwise, you can create a support ticket here and we can manually verify your students’ accounts.
Can I still access the previous version of EduBlocks with the old authentication system?
You can still access the previous version of EduBlocks here. We know that keeping older versions around is important for educators, so we have no plans to shut this down. However, please keep in mind that previous versions of EduBlocks no longer receive updates.
My IT team need to allow access to your new authentication system, what information do they need?
If your students are blocked from signing into EduBlocks with Google, you can ask your IT team to allow the following Client ID:
